“I’ve been around direct response marketing all of my career, I started in sales, got a degree in Marketing, and found, built, and exited a couple of tech companies in the early 2000s, I then moved into the agency world.

I held senior positions at specialist agency The Search Works and Dentsu media agency Carat, I then joined Martin McNulty at Forward3d to help build the UK’s biggest performance agency.

And we did.

By the end of 2017, when we sold to Stagwell Group, we had 13 offices across the world and over 350 people specialising in PPC, SEO, and Paid Social.

We worked with some of the world’s biggest brands such as Nike, Chanel, MatchesFashion, British Airways, Hilton Hotels, New Look, Debenhams, John Lewis, and many more.

From 2008 to the present I’ve managed over £1bn in online media spend.

Having left Forward3d in early 2018, after the sale, I was on a 2-year non-compete. And during this time the independents we had fought against whilst at Forward3d had all either sold or gained investment to grow.

They were getting so big there was a gap appearing. They were becoming just like the big 6 networks and starting to lose their specialist focus.

That’s when I decided there was a need for a new agency, one with the experience of the big independents but also one that still retains the true specialism brands need to grow online. That’s when I started We are Polymer in January 2020.
