Why select We are Polymer when looking for PPC Services

We think 6 things make us different from other marketing agencies

  1. Bulletproof process: It’s a process that ensures things get done, and below we’ve detailed ours so you can see it’s one you can rely upon and transparent, unlike any other agency

  2. 24/7 access to daily reports: We built our own technology so every client can have bespoke reports updated daily that cover all channels and platforms.

  3. Rock solid platform checks underpinned by technology: Everyone talks about a data-driven approach, we live that, we have importers bringing in millions of lines of data every day to Google Big Query from all of the platforms. We then run hundreds of scripts to check the data for anomalies and opportunities. We know other agencies aren’t doing these checks because if they don’t have technology to do it for them it would just take too long, check out our automated platform alert system in the video below.

  4. Shopping feed expertise: Shopping is so vital to retail, fashion and beauty clients that we built our technology for raw feed optimisation and our own Shopify Feed App, you can read more about them below.

  5. Sector experience: With over a billion Pounds of experience across retail, fashion, beauty and travel clients, providing great results backed by client testimonials.

  6. Long-standing platform partnerships: We are Google Premier Partners, placing us in the top 3% of agencies working with Google. Our CSS (comparison shopping site) ModaCompris is also a Google CSS partner and means you get up to 20% discount on CPC’s.

A day in the life of our PPC Analysts. Bulletproof processes that are transparent and backed by proprietary technology

When selecting your next PPC Agency for Google ads make sure you grill them on process, this is ours and as you can see we have a very transparent way of working on PPC advertising, you have a roadmap which plans out the strategies, tests and events that need to be planned for, we have daily automated reports and alerts and a cardwall for monitoring actions.

All PPC Marketing actions are added to the optimisation logs which are pulled in automatically by date into the reports so at any time you can see exactly what was actioned.

  1. 9.00 AM: Check Reports: Check the run rates and look for anomalies and opportunities from yesterday's activity

  2. 9.15 AM: Check alerts: Login to Polymetrics® and check the dashboard for any triggered alerts and add them to the card wall as needed

  3. 9.30: Team stand-up: Go through your card wall for today’s tasks and discuss any blockers or help needed

  4. 9.45 AM: Task scheduling: Check client digital marketing roadmaps for plans, PPC strategy, optimisations and tests that are set for this period, and add actions required to the card wall

  5. Rest of Day: Action tasks, carry out optimisations, attend meetings, client communications, create/send chase lists

  6. Complete Optimisation Log: As each task is carried out update the optimisation log and move the task to completed on the card wall

  7. 4.30 PM: End of Day Checks: Check to make sure all tasks are complete and work with your team on those requiring more input

  8. 5.30 PM Wrap-up Emails: Email clients and partners with end-of-day results where needed

Google shopping feed specialists with proprietary technology and our own Shopify App

In today's world of Google Ads automation your PPC agency has to be a data and technology company too and here at We are Polymer we are just that. Not only do we have our own technology to do automated, bespoke optimisations to your PPC shopping feed, but we also built our own Shopify App to make sure we could get the data out properly.

We don’t rely on third-party apps, it’s all built in-house specifically for our clients, this is better technology than you would get at any of the big six media agencies.

You can check out our Shopify Shopping feed app here, called AutoFeed. And here’s what people say about it.

“The app is easy to use and allows you to bulk apply additional feed columns such as size, colour and condition across all products. You can also add in custom labels based on your product tags. The built-in error reporting is really handy to see what issues need to be addressed before uploading into other platforms for use across ads.”

Not on Shopify? We have that covered with automated shopping feed optimisation

Part of our Polymetrics system is an advanced product feed optimisation app. We can take product data in just about any format, XML, JSON even a Google Sheet, we then import that every morning into our system and our analysts write specific SQL optimisation scripts to run on the feed to ensure it is going to have the best chance to get clicks from Google Shopping. This means we can adjust product titles, add option labels, amend descriptions, and so much more without you needing to involve your developers. We build a custom optimisation plan for every client and make sure you start to dominate low-cost Google shopping ads.

Our 9-Step Roadmap to Performance Max Success

Since its launch in 2020 Performance Max has become more and more important in your Google search engine ads campaign armoury, it’s now paramount that you can understand and implement PMax campaigns swiftly and optimally, we follow a simple 9-step plan to get our clients PMax campaigns working effectively.

  1. Patience: PMax campaigns can take anything from 4 to 8 weeks to get up to the best performance. This is because the automated bidding strategies need data to work on. So, more budget and more conversions equals the quickest route to effective campaigns.

  2. Optimised Feeds: You need a fully optimised feed with every possible data point in it. You need to have SKU’s, GTIN’s, Brand name, colour set to match Google’s feed types and much more (PS Polymetrics let’s us do this). Data feed management is now critical to Google ads success.

  3. Exclusions: Just as it’s important to make sure your feed has everything you need in it it’s also just as important to exclude what you need to from Performance Max ad campaigns. Excluding out-of-stock products, low-margin products, and poor sellers, excluding these and using option labels (PS Polymetrics adds these automatically every day based on your rules) means you are quicker through the learning phase and show your best products in search results pages. You also want to think about excluding low-performing keywords, possibly your brand term and exclude certain audience groups, such as existing customers (PMax has a feature so you can exclude existing customers), all need to be tested.

  4. Avoid the PMax Traps: There are some familiar traps that you need to be on the lookout for when setting up and running Performance Max campaigns. Watch out for URL expansions (it’s on by default) this allows PMax to send users to other pages rather than the one you specify. Be sure to use audience signals, it’s the surefire way to tame PMax. Location settings can be tricky too, focus on presence if you want a specific location targeted.

  5. Assets: Without the right assets your PMax campaigns will not be fully effective, you need images, and videos (if you are using a product feed this will be used for assets). Remember to organise your assets into asset groups.

  6. Bidding Strategies: Make sure you understand the choices and the difference between Maximise Conversions and Maximise Conversion Value, the latter will just go after the conversions with the highest value, not every conversion, so in essence efficiency should be best if you are chasing growth then you may want to sacrifice efficiency for all conversions. A lot depends on your budget, business objectives and impression share.

  7. Ad Extensions: Make use of ad extensions so you can maximise placement effectiveness, Sitelinks, Callouts, and Structured Snippets should all be tested/used.

  8. Audience Signals: Don’t ignore these, they are the way to superpower your PMax campaigns, upload first-party data and look at interest groups to make sure you max out the effectiveness of your campaigns.

  9. Visible Insights: One thing Performance Max does is hide lots of data from you, this is where you need a true data led partner to implement scripts to ensure you get the insight needed to optimise PMax campaigns. We have a wealth of scripts ready to apply to your accounts.

We are Polymer black friday ppc success

Applied experience demonstrated by results.

We’ve spent the last 4 years putting over a billion pounds of paid media digital experience to work for emerging brands across beauty, retail, fashion and travel. And we’ve achieved some great results, sometimes driving more revenue from less spend.

Key Metrics for PPC Success:

There are many ways to measure success and below are just a few of the measures we would put in place, obviously to measure this you need data in a readable format, that’s why we use our proprietary technology, Polymetrics® to output daily automatic reports for you, watch the video to find out more about the reports

  1. Click-Through Rate (CTR): You have to have ads that people want to click, showing for the right keywords and having optimised ad copy.

  2. Conversion Rate: This measures both the quality of traffic and the effectiveness of the landing page and products to convert visitors into buyers..

  3. Quality Score: Ad performance criteria are really important today and require a 360 view of campaigns and landing pages to drive efficiencies and effectiveness.

  4. Cost Per Acquisition (CPA): This the the average cost spent on acquiring a customer, usually used when we track leads, vital to watch this over the short, medium and long term to drive efficient growth.

  5. Return on Ad Spend (ROAS): This is simply revenue divided by cost and displayed as a digit. A ROAS of 5 gives you 5 x cost as revenue. As a business, you should spend time calculating exactly what ROAS makes sense for you.

  6. Cost of Sale (CoS): Cost of sale is similar to ROAS, except it is cost shown as a percentage of revenue, so for the same revenue and cost as above the CoS would be 20%.

  7. Impression Share: This is the percentage of times your ads were shown out of the total eligible impressions in the market, it gives you insight into market penetration and competitive activity.

  8. Brand Search Volume: If there is one metric you should track it’s this, brand search volume is a proxy measure for market share and truly important to growing your business, if this grows, your business grows, it’s as simple as that.
